Furniture Care Guide

Thank you for choosing our furniture. Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your pieces and keep them looking their best for years to come. Below you will find care instructions organized by material type.

Faux Leather and LeatherSoft Upholstery

Wipe down regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and surface debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub. Use a water-based cleaner for stains; avoid solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and cracking. Do not use sharp objects on the surface.

Genuine Leather

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Condition the leather every 6 to 12 months with a quality leather conditioner to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking. Blot spills immediately and allow to air dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause fading and drying. Keep away from heat vents and radiators.

Fabric and Velvet Upholstery (including Boucle and Teddy Fabric)

Vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and prevent fiber matting. Spot clean with a mild soap and water solution; always test on a hidden area first. Blot stains gently — do not scrub, as this can damage the fabric fibers. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent color fading. For boucle and teddy fabrics, brush gently in one direction to restore texture after cleaning.

Wood and Wood Veneer Surfaces

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe up spills immediately to prevent water stains and warping. Use a mild wood cleaner or a slightly damp cloth for deeper cleaning; dry thoroughly afterward. Avoid placing hot items directly on wood surfaces — always use coasters or trivets. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

MDF, Particleboard, and Melamine Surfaces

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry immediately after cleaning to prevent moisture damage. Avoid excessive water or steam, which can cause swelling and delamination. Use coasters and placemats to protect surfaces from heat and moisture. Do not drag heavy objects across the surface to avoid scratching.

Metal Frames (Steel and Aluminum)

Wipe down with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust or water spots. For powder-coated steel, avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the finish. For aluminum frames, a mild soap solution works well for cleaning. Inspect joints and connections periodically and tighten if necessary.

Glass Surfaces

Clean with a glass cleaner or a mixture of water and white vinegar. Use a lint-free cloth to avoid streaks. Handle with care to avoid chipping or cracking. Do not place extremely heavy items on glass shelves beyond the recommended weight limit.

General Tips for All Furniture

Avoid placing furniture in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations or high humidity. Use furniture pads or felt protectors under legs to prevent floor scratches. Rotate cushions and pillows regularly to ensure even wear. Follow the weight capacity guidelines for each piece to maintain structural integrity. When moving furniture, lift rather than drag to protect both the piece and your floors.
